Children in classroom

The South Yorkshire Energy Efficiency Advice Centre offers educational packages to schools and colleges within the area.  Please contact the advice centre to find out more about what is available in your area on freephone 0800 512 012 or 0800 028 1067.

It is important for young people to learn about energy efficiency to gain the knowledge and tools to protect their future environment. The schools programme demonstrates how to be energy efficient in a home or school environment, and in the wider world.  The educational package will equip your students with the tools to help you reduce environmental damage, but could also save money on energy bills.  The programme is aimed at encouraging young people and their parents to be more energy efficient and to be aware of energy issues.

Parents

Although the programme is predominately aimed at school pupils and college students the Energy Efficiency Advice Centre can deliver bespoke presentations and training to parents and family members.  This training can be an add-on to an existing school booking or as a separate session.

Teachers

The programme can deliver training and presentations to teachers and school staff.  All training is tailor made to cover the schools particular requirements.  The programme can also educate on how to make the school itself more energy efficient and what schemes and resources are available.  Training can include the Eco Schools and Sustainable Schools Programme.
