We are one of the nationwide networks of Energy Efficiency Advice Centres that offer an extensive range of expertise in energy conservation issues.  The South Yorkshire Energy Efficiency Advice Centre is a partnership between Doncaster, Rotherham, Sheffield and Barnsley Councils and is part funded by the Energy Saving Trust.  We are here to help the public become more energy aware, as well an running a variety of local and national energy conservation schemes throughout South Yorkshire.

Almost half of the UK’s carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions come from the energy we use every day – at home, at work and when we travel.  CO2 and other ‘greenhouse gases’ are generated through the burning of fossil fuels (coal, oil and gas) to produce energy.  These gases are damaging the environment we live in and are causing climate change.
